          Bhimsain (born Bhimsain Khurana; November 24, 1936 – April 17, 2018)[1][2][3][4][5] was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and animator.[6] He is best known as the Father of Indian Animation,[7][8] along with his mentor Ram Mohan.[9] He was the recipient of 16 President's National Awards for his contributions to Indian cinema.[10][11][12]

          He is best known for directing the critically acclaimed Gharaonda (1977)[13] starring Amol Palekar and Z
