          6. I teach courses in sports reporting and feature writing in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas in the great city of Austin. I previously spent 22 years in daily newspapers and had a short stint at the Scripps Howard News Service in Washington D.C., where I wrote about the U.S.

          House of Representatives, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Aberdeen Proving Ground and a handful of Rose Garden ceremonies during the Clinton Administration. I live near Austin with my wife and two children, but I come from Kansas City.

          I graduated from the University of Central Missouri (née Central Missouri State University) in with bachelor's degrees in journalism and psychology, and got my master's in from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

          Kevin Robbin passed away too soon on May 17th at the age of He was the beloved father of Lewis and Gracie and the husband of Lorraine Shenken Robbin.

          The Last Stand of Payne Stewart is my second non-fiction book about golf. Before that, I wrote a whole lot of newspaper copy in a whole lot of places. I covered schools at the Olathe (Kansas) Daily News, enjoyed three semina
