          Early life and education

          Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,[1] Calhoun is the daughter of Lorine Calhoun.[6] She moved to California in the late s, and began acting while in sixth grade.[7] Calhoun attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.[8]
